If a tree falls in the forest, does it win an Oscar? / February 2nd, 2012

Greetings all,

For those of you who haven’t heard, we’re very happy to share the news that
our beloved film IF A TREE FALLS: A STORY OF THE EARTH LIBERATION FRONT has
been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, making
it the 874th Oscar nomination in our company’s short history (we know, it
sounds strange, but somehow the math works, trust us).

With the nomination, IF A TREE FALLS will be returning for a handful of
special engagements at theaters around the country, so be sure to catch a
screening if there’s one coming up in your town.

You can find upcoming theatrical dates here:

Given IF A TREE FALLS’ timeliness due the current Occupy Wall Street
movement, we think the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences is pretty
spot on to honor the film with a nomination.

Hey AMPAS, it’d be even cooler if it won!

Be sure to root for us at the big show on February 26th!

Sincerely,
Oscilloscope Laboratories
